Case Study 1: Government & Community Awareness Communication Program
The Challenge
A county government-affiliated economic empowerment program needed to reach rural farmers, youth groups, and women-led enterprises across Meru, Embu, and Tharaka Nithi counties with a financial literacy campaign. The challenge was communicating complex financial concepts to low-literacy audiences in a culturally resonant way that built trust and drove program enrollment.
Our Approach
We designed and executed a multi-county communication program centered on grassroots engagement. We developed simplified, vernacular-friendly messaging in Kimeru and Embu languages, then mobilized a field strategy combining community roadshows, local radio partnerships (Muuga FM, Wimwaro FM, Mwago FM), barazas, and assistant-chief-guided village meetings. County officers were equipped with PR kits and talking points to ensure consistent, trusted messaging across all touchpoints.
